Glenbrooke is a member of the Capitol Area Association of Private Swim Clubs (CAAPSC) league. During June and July each year, our swim and dive teams competes against other private swim clubs in the area. The meets are officiated by certified league representatives. Both teams are open to all members ages 6 to 17. Prior swim or dive team experience is not required. Our swim and dive coaches and their assistants welcome all levels of swimming ability.
This is a great opportunity to introduce children to competitive swimming and diving. Swimmers who are new to swim team will improve their strokes and learn how to swim competitively. New divers learn basic diving skills in a fun and exciting environment with the safety of the participant being the primary concern. Swimmers and divers who have experience with these sports will be challenged by a high level of competition from the other clubs.

Practice: The swim/dive team begins pre-season practice in mid-June in the early evening. This practice is not mandatory but it is a good opportunity for swimmers/divers who have not been practicing in the winter to work on their endurance and strokes before the season begins. It is open to all team members. Regular season practice begins after schools let out and is held Monday through Friday mornings.
Team Suits & Caps: Orders for swim/dive team suits and caps are taken during a parent meeting held at the club mid-June. Suits ordered after this date will incur shipping charges. This meeting is also a good opportunity to ask questions about the program. Order forms will be available at the meeting.
Swim Meets: Glenbrooke competes in swim meets, and separate dive meets, during the summer against local clubs in Glastonbury, Wethersfield and South Windsor, with meets held both at home and away. The season ends with separate championship events.
